Description
This work is representative of aerial photography and is an interpretation of the Dreamtime story, the Rainbow Serpent. Incorporating the motif of the Serpent – creator of all things – and the bark of the Corymbia Maculata – a supporter of indigenous wildlife – this image evokes a powerful combination.
How does your work engage with the theme ‘The World at Home’?
As photographic artists, we are all working introspectively from home. Vast landscapes and vistas are beyond our current reach. A new vision for landscape artists emerges. Working more conceptually, and engaging within my local landscape at home, I perceived a vision of reinterpreting my environment to assume the form of aerial photography. The planes are grounded, but my art is not hampered by the lack of flight.
