‘The Fool’

Acrylic on archival paper

65cm x  80cm

Based on the Rider-Waite tarot card, The Fool represents new beginnings. The adventurer is joyfully unaware they are stepping off a cliff (uncertainty going forward) , however they’re journey is supported by The Universe represented by the suns hand. The dog barking represents loyalty & protection to further support those who trust with pure hearts

How does your work engage with the theme ‘The World at Home’?

The Fool painting represents the attitude I have been cultivating during these uncertain times. During this pandemic I have also been adapting to a physical disability that limits my mobility, unable to wield a paintbrush or pen with the same precision I use to have. So with the lost freedoms we have all faced in the pandemic and my personal losses of physical abilities, choosing the adventurer mindset is a huge factor on my experience of the world at home.
